FAQ

What is your travel fee?

Estimated by the distance from Rowland Heights, $1.50 / mile round trip. First 20 miles on the house.

Early setup fee

If early service is required, an additional $50 will apply for starting time before 6AM.

When is the best time to book?

I highly recommend booking your makeup artist immediately after your wedding date is set.  Most brides typically book 6 months to a year in advance to ensure availability. To secure a date, a signed contract is required with a deposit of 50% of the service charge is due at the time of booking. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract and deposit are received.

Do I need a trial?

Although not required, it is recommended to have a trial so you know exactly what to expect on your big day. A trial appointment 2 to 3 months prior to your wedding date is best, but it can be performed up to 6 months prior.

What should I expect at my preview?

I will first sit with you and go over your wedding details, thoughts, and visions you have to determine which style will best suit you. It is recommended to bring as much information as you prefer. You may bring inspired images of makeup looks, hairstyles, wedding dresses, hair accessories and any photos related to the wedding theme, etc. Most brides use Pinterest to create an inspiration board.

I will design two looks for you to review together and find the best look that suitable for you, ensure you feel confident and beautiful before leaving the trial.

Re-Trial

If you require another trial at a later day, the additional trial fee is $150.

How long is the trial session?

Approximately 3 ~ 3.5 hours per trial session.

Can I schedule my preview on the day of my engagement photos?

Yes, but not recommended. Everything I design during the preview session is based on your wedding theme and wedding gown. Most importantly, you may want to save “THE LOOK” as a surprise instead of revealing it through your engagement album. On the other hand, when you book your engagement session with me, I will style you according to your outfits, location, and photography style. In general, I style engagement shoots in a more casual and playful way and save the more classic look for the big day.

What kind of makeup do you use?

I use top quality of cosmetic in the market such as Make Up Forever, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Nars, Benefit, Too Faced, Smash Box, Stila, Temptu Pro, and Armani to name a few. To keep up with the trends and continue to test new products in the market. Only the best products make it into my kit.

Do you have experience working with large parties?

I have a team of highly trained professional artists to work with. The size of your party will determine how many artists I will bring to your wedding to get everyone ready on time.

What is the wedding day timeline?

Bridal makeup and hair session usually requires 2.5 hours on the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids usually will take 1.15~1.30 minutes depending on style.

Will my hair and makeup last all day?

The beauty of being a professional makeup and hair stylist for weddings is that I understand what not to use and what to use. I am educated to know what products work best to ensure that your makeup and hair will last all day and night. Everything I use is waterproof or water resistant so that you are free of worries.
